Like other former students of Dr. William Zucker, Ira Riklis can tell you that as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business was a strong believer in the benefits of practical, hand’s-on experience. In his classes on entrepreneurship—demanding, yet rewarding—he emphasized both theory and practice. Dr. Zucker passed away in 2006, but his legacy and his work survives in the lives of those who learned from him and have gone on to achieve success as businessmen and women.
One of those people is Ira Riklis, for counted Dr. Zucker as not only a teacher, but a mentor and a friend. It is in the spirit of honoring that connection and extending Dr. Zucker’s legacy for new generations of students that he established the Dr. William Zucker Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship. The fellowship supports exceptional students by providing them with internship opportunities and in turn encourages them to reach out to other students as ambassadors of entrepreneurship.
