The Tel Aviv Foundation Spring 2009 Newsletter mentions Ira Riklis and his support on various projects with the Foundation. Ira sites on the board of directors of this charity which is a certified 4-star charity by Charity Navigator – the leading charity evaluation source in the United States.

Since 1977, the Tel Aviv Foundation has catalyzed donors to be strategic partners in supporting the evolving needs of the Tel Aviv community. The Foundation generates momentum to the city as the beacon of progress by elevating the quality of life through: education, culture and arts, sports, the environment and social services.
Responsive and Purposeful, the Foundation provides for the needy, and creates opportunities for a better future for Tel Aviv and all of Israel.
The David and Rifka Israeler Kindergarten was donated by Diana and Ira Riklis of New York, NY in the early 1980’s in honor of David and Rifka and their family z”l. David and Rifka Israeler were shot and killed by the Nazis along with 10 of their 11 children. This educational success is located in one of the most deprived areas of the city. The Foundation continues to offer scholarships to children to improve lives.
Projects in progress – Ira Riklis donates bench for park
This is currently in progress but Ira Riklis was also mentioned in the newsletter. He is working on a current project — The Yehudit Riklis Z”L artistic bench on Rothschild Boulevard in Israel.
