It is no big secret, to seasoned travelers, that by the time a place becomes really popular that it is time to find somewhere else to go. It is just part of the economics of the tourism industry. People find a pristine spot and start to talk. The talk brings tourist. The tourist brings money. The money brings developers and what was once an unspoiled paradise turns into just another stretch of high priced hotels and tourist trinket shops.

The only way to stay ahead of the curve is to get there before the world finds out a place exist. In the interest of helping you become a traveler rather than just a tourist we bring you 6 locals destined to become “The Hot Spots”, but still largely unknown at this time.

1. Da Nang, Vietnam

With its wealth of natural beauty and cultural sights, Da Nang is truly a traveler’s paradise. From the Son Tra (Monkey) Moutains to Non Nuoc Beach there something for every type of outdoor lover while the many temples and shrines in the area offer you peek at times that predate the French colonial period.

It’s not all ancient history in Da Nang though; this is a modern city that offers all of the comforts and nightlife that your heart could desire.

2. Sihanoukville, Cambodia

A Five Star Hotel or a Nipa Hut on the water Sihanoukville has accommodations to suit any taste. Best known for its miles of unspoilt beaches Sihanoukville hides one of Asia’s best keep secrets. It is a Foodies paradise. You will find everything from traditional Khmer restaurants to gourmet Italian and French Bistros and even Irish Pubs all within a quaint city.

3. Limassol, Cyprus

Beaches, Water Parks, Ancient Ruins, Auto Museums, Zoos and some of the finest dining you will ever experience all await you in this historical crossroads of the world. There is simply too much to see and do to even try to list it here.

4. Ao Nang, Thailand

Ao Nang is, arguably the best sporting destination in Thailand. While most of the country has converted to the wild nightlife crowd; Ao Nang has remained family and ecologically friendly. There are night clubs here, but they are more suited to the couple’s night out than the wild times.

5. Bodrum City, Turkey

Long known as the gateway to the Aegean, Bodrum City is all you would expect from a place with such a long a storied history. Windmills to Roman ruins, Bistros to beach clubs can all be found within this magnificently picturesque city. Be a virtual tourist and check out this beautiful place here.

6. Naha, Japan

Naha is japans hidden gem. Located on the island of Okinawa it is not a big city, but it has something for everyone. Modern shopping, Art and Nautical Museums and historical sites as well as the best of both traditional and modern Nippon culture await you here.
